Thanksgiving Notes...

Here is what I am trying for Thanksgiving 2014.  We are going to my sister in laws, but I ma going to bring a few SCD things for Tanner to eat.

Turkey  * I don't use alcohol in my cooking, and this recipe calls for white wine.  I read that you can replace white wine with apple juice, so I am planning to use freshly juiced apples in place of the white wine.

Gravy (from Breaking the Vicious Cycle Book)
While turkey is in onven, boil an onion together with poultry giblets.  When meat is done, pour the drippings into a container and skim off the fat.  Placed cooked onion and skimmed drippings into blender and puree.

Fruit Salad

My mom is bringing an awesome rutabaga/cauliflower mashed "potato" dish and a delicious scd pumpkin pie, so Tanner will have access to a full course Thanksgiving meal!
