| Title: | Whole Salmon ~ Oven Roasted |
| Detail: | Tips; A 5-pound whole Salmon will take approximately 35 minutes to roast. A larger Salmon (6-8 pounds) will take closer to 50 minutes. Follow instructions below to test for doneness. Ingredients One 5-7 Pound Whole Salmon Salt and Pepper 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil Splash of lemon juice Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Season Salmon with Salt and Pepper and rub it with oil on both sides. Cover a large sheet pan with aluminum foil and spread oil on pan. Place Salmon on sheet pan and place in hot oven. After 20 minutes check the Salmon. If the skin begins to blister, reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F. Using thermometer test Salmon for doneness. Remove from oven when temperature reaches 130 degrees F. Set Salmon aside for about 15 minutes. Cover loosely with aluminum foil (too tightly and skin will loose its crispiness). Serve Salmon when its internal temperature reaches 135 degrees F. Serve Salmon with skin on, Garnished with Lemon, Capers and Parsley. Source: Reelaffairs.com |
